Wachu Stevens is a registered psychologist and a full member of the Australian Psychological Society.
Wachu holds a Bachelor’s of Social Science in psychology, Diploma of Psychological practice and a Master’s in Professional Psychology. Wachu has a background in counselling, psychotherapy, and professional psychology and with over ten years of experience as a child and family practitioner supporting vulnerable individuals and families overcome adversity to establish meaningful and fulfilling lives. Wachu has experience working with people from a wide range of backgrounds and situations.

Wachu always endeavours to explore the client’s life history and the origins and background of their presenting difficulties, develop a therapeutic alliance with the client, gain their trust, and work in partnership with the client. Therapy will involve a collaborative approach to foster resilience and skill building in order to support clients meet their needs.
Wachu draws on values of empathy, compassion, respect, justice, equity, integrity and authenticity to empower clients in a respectful, safe, and supportive therapeutic space.
